The Board of Directors of ELSET accepts the invitation of GRAPHICA EXPO to participate in the GRAPHICA 2025 exhibition which will take place on 21, 22 and 23 March 2025, at the MEC exhibition center in Paiania.
As has been the case in previous exhibitions, the organizers are offering our association the stand and its equipment free of charge, for which we thank them.
The Board of Directors will return at the appropriate time with relevant announcements.
After a long joint effort and with an impressive participation of the public, SYSKEVASIA 2024 saw the introduction of a new body for Research, Development and Education in Packaging, Printing and Graphic Communication.
On Saturday 2 November 2024, ELSET, HELGRAMED, FESPA and GRAPHMEDLAB began their common journey under PackPrint Science.
The Presidents of ELSET (Denise Haitoglou), HELGRAMED (G. Gamprellis), FESPA HELLAS (K. Papathanasopoulos) and the Director of UNIWA’s GRAPHMEDLAB (M. Tsigonias), welcomed the initiative, declared their full support and called on bodies, businesses and all people in these industries to back this effort.
The presentation was made by one of the main contributors to this effort, Dr Anastasios Politis, President of the International Circle of Educational Institutes of Graphic-Media Technology and Management, who mentioned the difficulty in finding specialized personnel and the lack of education, training and formation programmes in printing and packaging.
This year’s SYSKEVASIA 2024 was once again full of interesting and innovative presentations and talks.
People who visited METROPOLITAN exhibition centre heard and saw forward-looking ideas and products.
As always, ELSET was present with its own booth—offered for free by the organisers, for which the Administrative Council thanks them.
The 450+ visitors of our booth learned about our work and took our recycled paper bag that contained our new leaflet with company details of our members, sample labels and advertising leaflets of members who had provided them.
Graphic Arts students really outdid themselves this time.
As it turns out, international distinctions don’t come only from football and basketball players, long jump or pole vault athletes.
They also come from UNIWA students, who earned Greece the second place in the world at team level.
On 2 June 2024, Paolo Ortolano, Graphic Arts student at UNIWA who participated in the 2nd Flexo Sinapse Worldwide Packaging Productivity Contest, at COMEXI’s booth H10/C19, completed his effort.
Awards, new acquaintances, professional discussions, searches, new ideas, perfect ambience.
Those were the ‘outcomes’ of FINAT’s annual conference, which took place at DIVANI CARAVEL, Athens, from 22 to 24 May 2024.
Our Association participated en masse in this labeller celebration, with many of its members attending.
Competing against students from much more populous, richer and more technologically advanced countries, Greek students have proved, by participating in international printing contests, that their most powerful ‘weapon’ is their soul and their intrinsic value.
The culmination of this effort will be the presence of a student from the University of West Attica in the finals that will take place in Düsseldorf, during the DRUPA, on 2 June.
But the overall presence of young people from Greece has exceeded all expectations and has shown that you can conquer your future if you are determined to do it and able to surpass obstacles no matter how hard they look.
We are pleased to announce another expansion of ELSET.
Konica Minolta is now the newest member of our Association.
The Administrative Council welcomes them and wishes the best for the future.
On Friday 09/02/2024, we gathered at the Holiday Inn to cut our Association’s New Year’s pie.
Coronavirus troubles, with the consecutive lock-downs and restrictions, forced us to postpone the event for four years—the last time we cut our pie was in February 2020.
In all those years, the only event we had was to celebrate ELSET’s anniversary, which took place in Thessaloniki, on 29 September 2023.
In an effort to best support its members, ELSET arranged for its legal advisor, Mr Kon. Anyfantis, to brief anyone interested on labour law and answer their questions on Thursday 25/01/2024, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
The briefing will happen online, with a link that will be sent in a later message.
Boussias Communication (a company that also organises the Future of Plastic Conference) invites us to participate with a talk in this year’s event and have it under our auspices.
ELSET’s Administrative Council gladly accepts both invitations and will be there on 6 March.

In theory, Konstantina, Panagiota and Vasilis were the winners in the ‘students’ category of Greek Label Awards 2023, co-organised by allpack magazine and ELSET, receiving a gift voucher of €400 during the GLOBAL–FOODTECH exhibition.
In practice, though, Konstantina Kefou, Panagiota Ligka and Vasilis Kalamarakis, students at the Department of Product and Systems Design, University of Western Macedonia, were the ‘gold sponsors’.
Humanitarian organisation Humanity Greece awarded the persons, companies and bodies who support its work.
In a grand event on 5 December 2023 at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, ELSET was among the award-winners, for its contribution to supporting the flood victims of Thessaly.
On behalf of our Association, the award was received by Mr Aggelos Mpalamatsias, Vice President of the Administrative Council.
