Until the time of the… opening, ELSET members and friends expressed their willingness to participate in the annual gathering.

On Friday, March 6, the attendees were more than the seats in the event hall of the Life Gallery hotel in Ekali. Which means that they considered what was about to be developed to be extremely interesting.

The event began with the welcome of ELSET President Ms. Deniz Haitoglou, who emphasized "We are here to look ahead, to evaluate global developments and to prepare for the next day with realism and unity. Because only in this way can we protect our industry for the future.”

Before giving the floor to the speakers, the Board of Directors honored Mr. Yiannis Loxas, a man who for decades was “Always present, always willing to help, with knowledge, experience and a willingness to offer without any return. Who put the whole above personal interest and was a real support for many of us", as Mrs. Haitoglou said.

As if to justify his award, Mr. Loxas, after thanking the members of the Board of Directors, again shared his wisdom and his sincere feelings for the industry and its people, once again looking to the future and predicting the positive course of the industry.

The first speaker was Mr. financial analyst George Panagopoulos from the company Balance Analysis, who referred to the course of the label industry from 2020 onwards, but he did not stop there. He analyzed the progress of the largest label manufacturing customers and market trends, exports, tourist preferences and forecasts for the coming years.

He made special reference to the dynamics that related companies are developing by entering label manufacturing, something that started in the United States, but is also expanding to Europe.

The problem that had been seeking a solution for many years has ceased to be a problem. The recycling of silicone paper is now taking place in Greece, in Karditsa. Representatives of the company LM eco, etc. Lambros Pourdalas and Thomas Tsingenes and the scientific associate Mr. Markos Malliaris analyzed all the details, not only about recycling, but also about what is produced from the new product.

The third speaker was the scientific director of PackPrint Science Dr. Mr. Anastasios Politis. He spoke about the new organization, in the creation of which ELSET was the protagonist, which aspires to shape a new landscape in research, development and education in Packaging, Printing and Graphic Communication.

Mr. Politis referred to developments and trends at the Greek and global levels, as well as the role of human resources.

All three speakers gave clear and satisfactory answers to the questions of those present.

The event was followed by dinner at the hotel restaurant.
