Administrative Council restructuring

Mr Chatzichrysos is the new President of the Administrative Council

Dear colleagues, partners and friends,

ELSET’s President, Mr Th. Kalkavouras, called an extraordinary meeting of the Administrative Council and read out his resignation letter, in which he cites reasons unrelated to his desire. As he said, this resignation does not have any other hidden cause, that’s why he remains a member of the Administrative Council.

The other members, showing empathy for his problem, thanked him for his contribution and unanimously decided to send him a letter of thanks.

Following this development, it became necessary to elect a new President. Unanimously, all other members nominated Mr Avgerinos Chatzichrysos as the longest-serving and most experienced ELSET director. Next, it was necessary to elect a new General Secretary, a role formerly held by Mr Chatzichrysos. Unanimously, the other members nominated Mr Aggelos Mpalamatsias. Both accepted the nominations, so the Administrative Council is now as follows:

President: Avgerinos Chatzichrysos (Forlabels)
Vice President: Denise Chaitoglou (Haitoglou SA Graphic Arts)
General Secretary: Aggelos Mpalamatsias (Alpha Labels)
Cashier: Giannis Karachalios (Sticker Hellas)
Member: Theodoros Kalkavouras (et-el)

The Administrative Council

Hereto are attached the letters by Mr Kalkavouras to the Administrative Council and by the other members to Mr Kalkavouras.

 President resignation letter

To: ELSET’s Administrative Council members

Dear colleagues,

For reasons unrelated to my desire and due to lack of time, I am unable to carry out my duties as President of ELSET’s Administrative Council. Very sadly, I have to step down.

My ten years of presence and my excellent collaboration with all members of the Administrative Council, older and newer, are undeniable proof that this resignation does not hide and does not hint at any other cause. Besides, our collaboration has always been governed by directness and honesty.

Therefore, I now explicitly declare that I step down as President. Not as a member of the Administrative Council nor—above all—as a friend. I remain on your side and support every initiative, every move, every innovation that promotes our Association and, therefore, our industry. And, of course, my company remains an ELSET member.

I thank you all for our flawless collaboration, not only during my three years as a President but also during the entire ten years that were full of creation. Indeed, we created something in those ten years. And I am willing to work with the new President and the entire Administrative Council in order to create much more.

Athens, 01/02/2023
Best regards
and the most sincere of feelings
Theodoros Kalkavouras

 Administrative Council’s Letter of Thanks

To: Mr Theodoros Kalkavouras

Dear Theodoros,
The members of the Administrative Council, respecting the causes that force you to step down as President, are very sad to accept your resignation.

We fully agree with you that directness and honesty always governed our relations, and this is why we asked you to remain in the Administrative Council, even as a member. Your three years of experience as President and your ten years of contribution in all roles of the Administrative Council make you a valuable pillar of our Association. We also fully agree with you about all we created these years, much of which happened during your presidency.

We feel the need to thank you for all you have offered and for all you will certainly offer in the future with your creative ideas, no matter what role you will have.
